MY WHY:

Kofi Annan is quoted as having said…

"There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that their rights are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they can grow up in peace." - Kofi Annan

Black Children and Teenagers deserve this, too, and I’m convinced their Village can help make it happen.

Rev. Candice Wynn is not just leading a movement; she’s building the table where Black youth (18 and under) and their stories are considered sacred.

As the Founder and Executive Director of BOON – The Black Next Gen Network, Candice leads the vision, strategy, and growth of a national movement committed to reimagining discipleship for Black youth by investing in their faith influencers. She leads the team, cultivates strategic partnerships, and stewards the creative and theological vision of our work, ensuring that the culture, complexity, and sacred worth of Black children and teens are honored.

With over two decades of experience in ministry leadership, Candice has coached hundreds of youth leaders and is currently leading a team in developing a research-driven discipleship framework for Black teenagers, expected to launch late spring 2026 (framework for children to follow).

Her work sits at the intersection of theological praxis, Black culture, and youth development.

Above all, Candice empowers faith influencers to recognize their influence and responsibility in the lives of youth.
